DEX® 2 lets you test your blood sugar 10 times without having to change the convenient AUTODISC®. Before you start testing, you need to load an AUTODISC® in your meter. Then, you are ready to test. Anytime you want, you can read saved information from past tests.

Loading AUTODISC® Blood Glucose Test Strips |
- Open the blister pack and remove an AUTODISC®.
- Open the meter by releasing the blue end latch.
- Line up the yellow arrow on the disc with the yellow line on the meter.
- Gently press the disc into place under the two blue tabs on the meter.
- If you cannot find the two blue tabs, remove the disc and look for the two large blue arrows that point to the tabs.
- Close the meter lid and snap the end latch shut.
The meter is coded and ready to run 10 tests.

Testing your blood sugar |
- Wash your hands with soap and warm water.
- Rinse your hands and completely dry them.
- Hold the meter so that that you see the blue end latch at the top and the blue pad in the middle.
- In one motion, push the blue pad to the left and move the slide all the way forward, towards the end latch.
A test sensor appears at the top of the meter and you see a flashing drop on the screen. The meter is ready for testing. - Use the MICROLET® Adjustable Lancing Device to form a small, round drop of blood.
- Hold the meter at a right angle to the blood drop.
- Touch the entire front edge of the test strip to the blood drop and hold until the meter beeps.
The test strip automatically draws the blood in. - Wait for the meter to count down and read the test result.
- Even though the meter has a memory, you may want to record your test result in your Clinilog® Self Testing Book.
- Point the meter upside-down over a waste container.
- Move the slide back until you hear a click.
The test strip drops out and the meter turns off.

Reading saved information |
- Hold the meter so that that you see the blue end latch at the top and the blue pad in the middle.
- Move the slide straight forward, towards the end latch to turn the meter on.
On the screen, you see the number of test strips left in the meter with the current date and time. Then, you see the two most recent test results with the dates and times of the tests. - To see your test average for the last 2 weeks, press button A at the base of the meter.
Three bars (- - -) on the screen mean you tested less than 3 times in the last 2 weeks. - To see your test average over the last 2 weeks for a certain time of the day, press button B at the base of the meter.
Three bars (- - -) on the screen mean you tested less than 3 times in the last 2 weeks at that time of the day. Please see the user guide to set 4 different times of the day for which you want test averages. - Press button B repeatedly to see past test results.
You hear a beep when the meter reaches the last test result. - To turn the meter off, move the slide back.
